Well it’s been a while since I have posted anything here. Several reasons, predominatly the upgrades and updates I have been making in various parts of my “electronic existance”..
The main reason for lack off blog posts is due the the upgrade to the software running this blog, Wordpress, which has unfortunatly broken most the things I put into place for making blogging easy on myself. Mainly the desktop widgety thing that allowed me to press a button on my task back and be able to blog direct from there. Secondly it managed to break quite a few “blog to..” things from other websites.. mainly flickr.. hoping that flickr catches up here but not holding my breath.
On the bright side… April 24th was the official release of “Hardy Heron”, the latest LTS (long term support) version of Ubuntu. From what I have been playing with so far.. it’s rocking my world.. 
I am thinking that quite a few aspects of the desktop blogging things I will be able to get around by using the nifty things called “prisms”.. still working out how to make full use of them but I have a feeling my bookmarks directory in FireFox will be getting a lot neater and my taskbar will be gettting a lot messier, but then for my taskbar I have neatened it up a considerable ammount by ditching the tabs of open windows, using various aspects of Compiz to make up for the fact I don’t have something easily clickable to swap windows.
Anyways.. could ramble on for some time over the many things I have changed.. but most of them arn’t especially interesting to anyone except the geeky types like me…
Big news in other places… started work on something in Secondlife that should be a big thing.. a groupless group system. Still working on various aspects of it. Will try keep things updated here…
