PrimCision: Norse Runes Necklace

Finally got round to some listings.

Norse Runes Necklace

Being as sociologists label me a “neopagan techno-hippie,” I have a healthy interest in both the technological and the mystical/mythical. I am a firm believer in a process called “techgnosis,” and to that end, I have produced several technologically based mystical devices.

The Norse Runes Necklace not only looks good around your neck (IMHO), it provides you with the ability to cast runes for yourself and friends.

To activate this ability, you just need to touch the necklace, and you will be given a choice of people in your immediate vicinity to cast the runes for. Watch the necklace carefully, and you will see the runes appear on it. You and the person you are casting for will be instant-messaged with each rune, its position, and its state (normal/reversed).

Once the necklace has finished doing its casting, both people involved will receive a folder with notecards within it describing what the runes mean. The folder will be named with the date of the casting and the position of each rune. You will also have a notecard within the folder describing what the various postions mean.

Anyone with prior knowledge of runes may notice that I have not used the Elder Futhark naming scheme for them; rather, I have gone for the original Norse names. When making items, I tend to get a *little* involved in the research and try make items as authentic as possible.

I have a particular interest in fortune-telling devices, and if anyone has an ideas for devices that have not been covered in SL already, drop me a notecard, and I will see what can be done. I have already done a Yi-Jing coin (I Ching), which I will be releasing soon as a freebie.
