Well, Reason I have been as quiet here as I have been is due to my previous web host going out of business after many years of great service. They didn’t give me the most web space, bandwidth or anything else. The one thing that they gave me above and beyond all other websites I have ever tried was customer service. I knew the tech support guys on a first name basis. I ran Customer Service Races between them and other sites, and they remained the only people that (not including autoresponders) consistently return my queries within minutes of my pressing the “send” button, even with the “out of office” hours I keep.
So, out with the old and in with the new. Given that they went out of business I took my old hosts suggestion of a new host with a grain of salt, but after researching all the options, it seemed like my new host gave the best options for my needs and from the communications I have had with them so far they are looking equally as good as my old hosts.
The other big changes is the vast difference I have now between the space and bandwidth I have.. from 100meg space and about 3 gig bandwidth to 1.5 gig space and 30 gig bandwidth. I do have access to a host with space and bandwidth that is about by the same factor again bigger, but that host is not mine, and I don’t like to rely upon it.
The other big thing about my new site.. MySql, my old site was limited to 1 database and space was limited to what remained after my site (mostly php and some images for the theme, all media/images hosted externally). My new host, space is the same deal but I have unlimited databases. Seeing that I pretty much exclusively use this space for my site and various scripts (usually under 30meg) the new 1.5gig of space is a huge improvement in terms of database space for me 
Anyways.. need to start amalgamating my various places into this one… setting up sub domains etc etc.. not to mention doing renders I have been doing. (included a work in progress render just to wet your appetites ;P)
