See what happens when Second Life gets all screwy on me… flurry of web side and desktop activities…
Just testing the abilities of flock..
Quite liking it but the Google applications integration isn’t what I would like eg. I would like it if I could check my Google reader feeds from flock and not bother logging into Google reader. Google Bookmarks would be another nice thing to have baked, not to mention some nice support for notebooks and documents. Oh and Google Calender!!
Flock specific extensions are somewhat lacking, and being able to “bake” my own sites into flock would also be great.
The Blogging system is pretty good from what I have seen so far.. better than Google Documents version of it in terms of features (I can add a title and tags from here) but unfortunately won’t find my categories…
[edit: does actually find categories after you press publish but still doesn't hold it's own against my prism that goes straight to a new post entry for my wordpress control panel and my taskbar pulldown for quick posts]
Really from what I can see so far.. what I have setup for my desktop at the moment more that covers most the nifty features that Flock is selling. Prism and Firefox 3 for webbrowsering and I have a nice and simple pulldown widget that allows me to make simple blog posts.
The only thing from Flock I really like is the “My World” page and the fact that it displays everything from the baked sites in chronological order.
